Former SRF president refutes news report

September 4, 2016 | by admin

The former president of the Sovereign Republic of Freeland (SRF) B. Yemlong Chang, has refuted the news items ‘SRF re-affirms its existence’ published on July 23 in sections of the local dailies, wherein it had mentioned that SRF reaffirmed and declared to stand united under the nomenclature of SRF “even if the world comes to an end”.
Chang termed the statement as totally “false and baseless”, claiming that it was published without his knowledge and consent as he had already resigned.
In a press note, B. Yemlong Chang informed that he had tendered his resignation on July 9, 2016, to the central advisory board through the vice president after a meeting was held at Tuensang town on July 7 2016, with the leaders of ENPO, ENSF, ENWO, CKS, YTC, KTC, USLP, TVCU and other NGOs.
Asserting that he was firm on his decision, Yemlong said the July 23 press release was a great insult to him as well as Chang and Eastern Nagas as whole. He further said that “self-declared non-recognized organization SRF should be ban”.
