Magnum Opus, the art and music festival organized by Act of Kindness (AOK) will begin on Monday, at the Stone Garden, NEZCC Complex, Diphupar, Dimapur.
Live performance participants should report at the venue by 1 p.m. and participants for poetry competition will have to report by 8:45 a.m.
Magnum Opus is a cumulative festival for various and all forms of major arts like singing, fine arts, photography, poetry, dance, fashion, handicrafts, sculpting etc. will bring together followers of the arts from all over the state. This year’s Magnum Opus coincides with the International Artists Day which falls on October 25 is speculated to be a mega event as all varieties of artists will come together to celebrate, exhibit and perform some of their best acts in the town.
There will be various competitions like poetry writing, singing (originals only) while other demonstrations will include dance, basic photography, bamboo craft and fine arts. Best original songs will get free recording contract both audio and video by Sunep Lemtur and Tinted Lights Entertainment respectively, while indigenous online music store Indihut will promote the best performer. Singers will also get an exclusive chance to be featured in either one of The Rec.urrent’s set, Boot Up Radio or Songs From The Den.
Besides authentic certifications for their performances, lucky winners will also get a surprise packaged from the Governnor of Nagaland.
Stall will be provided for interested poets, photographers, craftsmen and designers for display and sale.
Special seminars and interactive sessions on Basic Photography, Art Demonstration, Poetry Writing Contest, Dance Demonstration, Bamboo Craft Session, Demonstration, Music Session will be held from 10am-1pm on both the festival days.
