Mission Indradhanush Phase-3 was launched in the six “high focused districts” in Nagaland namely Dimapur, Kiphire, Kohima, Mon, Tuensang and Wokha at the auditorium hall, NHAK Kohima, Wednesday.
Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Sukhato Sema officially launched the third phase of Mission Indradhanush and administered the first drop of the polio vaccine.
In his speech, he said that the aim of Mission Indradhanush Phase-3 was that no children under 5 years should be left unimmunized or partially immunized and no children should be left to die due to vaccine preventable diseases.
He also mentioned that the third phase of Mission Indradhanush would also include all children attaining 5 yearrs of age for the booster dose.
Mission Director, NHM, Dr. Yankho Kithan chaired the launching programme and gave a brief introduction and the aims of Mission Indradhanush. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by director (health) Dr. M. Kithan.
