Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) on behalf of the Sumi community of Dimapur district has expressed gratitude to GBs of Dimapur district for setting up office bearers of the Dimapur District GBs Association (DDBGA) for the coming tenure in the “best democratic manner”.

Lauding the GBs of Dimapur, WSKH said very often it was deemed that election to the office of any organization creates or leaves “hangover fever of hatreds” which becomes an obstacle in future course of action.

The Hoho however said that the recent exercise of nominating officials to various post on consensus voice was most welcome and acceptable.

WSKH also expressed happiness over former president and general secretary M.Y.Ngullie GB and T.Onen GB respectively for “vacating the post gracefully” and also lauded GB Viyito Chishi for accepting the proposal of the WSKH by withdrawing his candidature for the post of president.

The Hoho exuded hope that this “goodwill gesture” would be the cornerstone of building brotherhood among all sections of the Naga society in days to come.

Meanwhile, WSKH has congratulated the elected president GB, Shikuto Zhalipu and general secretary GB T Kenth and their team and expressed optimism that the team would leave “impressive record in societal building”. The Hoho also assured positive support in their endeavours.

Meanwhile in a separate release, Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has appreciated Western Sumi Totimi Hoho (WSTH) for organizing the recently concluded ‘Cultural programme’ held from July 4-6 at Agri-Expo site, Dimapur.
