NPF appeals NSCN (I-M) & GoI to include all NPGs

Naga People’s Front (NPF) central executive council (CEC), while welcoming the framework agreement signed between NSCN (I-M) and government of India on August 3, 2015, has appealed to both the parties to work out a formula of inclusiveness of all the Naga political groups so any solution that may come about could be acceptable to all sections of Naga people.
CEC, which held first meeting of the year on January 29, 2016 at central office, Kohima, also reiterated the commitment of the party to work for finding an honourable and acceptable solution to Indo-Naga political problem. 
The meeting, which deliberated on various issues pertaining to prevailing situation, also reiterated its resolution of March 31, 2015, pledging to work for reconciliation and unity in the party and also by upholding the voting of party ranks and files that was undertaken at a special general convention held on April 30, 2015 to repose faith and confidence in the leadership of NPF president Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and chief minister T.R. Zeliang.
CEC declared that whoever had acted or would act by way of pronouncing or by action against the above mentioned resolution was deemed to have acted against the party commitment and party discipline hence attracts disciplinary action.
Further, CEC extend its support to the hill people of Manipur in protest against, what it dubbed as “three anti-hill/tribal people’s bill” passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31, 2015. CEC appealed to the President of India not to give assent to the controversial bill, which it said was “anti-hill people.”
Meanwhile, the CEC welcomed the MLAs of INC, JDU and NCP along with their supporters who have recently merged with the NPF. 
Rs. 250 cr for Dimapur-Kohima road 
Union minister for Road, Transport, Highway & Shipping, Nitin Gadkari has committed to sanction Rs. 250 crores for improvement of Kohima and Dimapur road, chief minister T.R. Zeliang said on Friday.
For this, the state government has prepared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and minister for National Highways and commissioner & secretary would be leaving for Delhi on January 30 to submit the documents, Zeliang informed. 
He also disclosed that the DPR included the four-lane road from Golaghat gate to Dimapur-Chumukedima and police gate before reaching Kohima to Lerie junction Kohima.
