Farewell programme for retired Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Er. T Yanger Ao was held on July 31 at the Conference Hall, I & FC Department, Kohima.
The retired chief engineer, during his farewell speech, expressed gratitude to the government of Nagaland for providing him the privilege to serve the people for the last 35 years. He also thanked God for his guidance and wisdom in leading the department with good health throughout his tenure.
As an outgoing, T. Yanger advised the departmental officers and staff to maintain cooperation, understanding, recognition and respect amongst one another. He urged the staff to work harder for the department and the Nagas as a whole.
Parliamentary secretary for irrigation & flood control, Y. Vikheho Swu during his address conveyed best wishes to the outgoing chief engineer.
In his message that was read out by his representative, Y. Vikheho Swu expressed appreciation to the outgoing for his dedication and selfless service rendered to the department.
He also described T. Yanger as a simple, dedicated and an honest officer with a diligent drive in the workplace and added that his dedication to the department was known by his tireless effort in implementing the department’s plan and ideas in all the districts of the State.
Incumbent chief engineer Er. Echongbemo Lotha, who also addressed the occasion, paid respect to the outgoing T Yanger.
Other officers of the department who spoke at the programme highlighted the career of the outgoing chief engineer and eulogized his glorious career.
