AYO seeks CM’s intervention on poor roads

Drawing the state chief minister’s attention to the “appalling road condition” in the state and capital town in particular, the Angami Youth Organization (AYO) has sought his immediate intervention and action.
In a representation, the AYO President Medo Yhokha and general secretary Rokoketou Sechü lamented that the stretches of roads in Nagaland managed and manned by BRO/BRTF and department of NH and R&B have proved to be “a perpetual subject for public discontentment, irritation, and vehemence against the authorities.”
AYO maintained that tolerance, silence and submission of the people to the responsible authorities with the expectation of getting prompt remedial measures had however proved to be a ‘total flout’ from the authorities.
Expressing frustration with the deteriorating road conditions, AYO said till date there has been no visible signs or indications to lighten the plight of the citizens.
Therefore, AYO strongly urged the chief minister and government to immediately activate all the resources available. (Full text on p-6)
