Says, some senior law makers pursuing subversive course
NSCN (K) on Friday sent a strong warning to “collaborators” stating that “certain senior law makers” in the incumbent government were pursuing “subversive course to force NSCN to capitulate and toe the line of particular political group which propped them and vice-versa”.
Sooner than expected, NSCN (K) MIP in a press note warned that it would “begin the process of selective obliteration of elements daring to effect demise of Naga struggle at the behest of Indian government”.
Besides back door concurrence with Narendra Modi government to re-impose ban on NSCN, MIP said that the cohorts were actively collaborating to tighten noose and strangulate the NSCN economically and financially.
MIP said, by freezing our resources, they assume that it would “coerce NSCN to compromise Naga sovereignty and conciliate with their patronised faction which is on the brink of accepting Indian constitution.”
“Consistently rallying advises of Indianised Naga bureaucrats and technocrats to hasten the decline of NSCN is becoming more obvious each day”, MIP added.
At his critical juncture, NSCN (K) said it was perilously confronting two international powers on both ends. However, MIP said: “choosing to combat the NSCN by these unholy cohorts is extremely unfortunate”. In order to “avoid head on collision”, MIP said that this statement has been issued with the hope that “anti-Naga leaders do mend their way”.
Government of India on September 16 decided to ban NSCN(K) for five years. The decision to ban the outfit was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The NSCN(K) responsible for explosions, ambushes and bombings has been declared as an unlawful organisation for a period of five years,” Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
