First inter-higher secondary commerce quiz contest -2015, a LUCA Pacioli Memorial Running Trophy was organized by department of commerce, ICFAI Nagaland University (NU) on October 7 at ICFAI campus.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, NU pro-vice chancellor said that the main objective of the contest was to provide platform for the students to bring out their ability and to help them to develop recalling capacity in the field of commerce and accountancy. HoD of commerce, Santosh Kumar said the trophy was named after the father of book-keeping and accounting, and the idea of the contest was to bring commerce higher secondary students to the larger platform where they could test their talents in the area of commerce.
Delhi Public School, Pranab Vidyapith, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Public College Commerce, Patkai Higher secondary, Mount Mary Higher secondary, St. Mary Higher Secondary, Carmel Higher secondary, Ram Janaki Higher secondary and Christian Higher Secondary took part in the contest.
LUCA Pacioli Memorial running Trophy was won by Pranab Higher Secondary while DPS and Ram Janaka secured second position third respectively.
