Deputy Commissioner Phek has accused Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for “miserably” failing to provide mobile network for the last 30 in Phek district headquarters and Meluri sub-division.
Deputy Commissioner Phek claimed that on August 27 when asked to inquire about the matters, no one was found in BSNL office, Phek.
The deputy commissioner said that necessary legal action shall be taken against the erring officers and staff of BSNL department.
According to DIPR report, a release from deputy commissioner Phek stated that it is not a “mere duty failure” but it is a “willful negligence to duty and having criminal intension to hamper” the law enforcing agencies of district administration, police, security forces and other government offices in the district.
The deputy commissioner Phek then said that 30 days of negligence by BSNL can no longer be tolerated since all the normal function of the offices have been badly hampered.
