Handel’s Messiah Halleluiah chorus competition in Wokha

Team Metamorphosis Wokha will organize, world famous Handel’s Messiah Halleluiah Chorus competition on November 6 at public ground, Wokha.
Convener competition committee Team Metamorphosis, James Tungoe said the main objective of the competition was to prepare for the World record attempt for the World’s largest Choir singing the Handel’s Messiah Chorus. Preparation has been started. Initially Team Metamorphosis planned to attempt for the World Record on the final day of Wokha Festival of Music & Indigenous Games/Arts (November 6), however, the team said it was yet to receive any response from the World Records officials.
Winner will receive Rs. 15,000 while the 1st and 2nd runners-up will receive Rs. 7000 and Rs. 3000 respectively.  Choir with maximum members will be awarded Rs. 2000, the organizer informed.
Church Choirs or Colonies (singing group) without any gender or age restriction has been invited and original sound track and music score would be provided by Team Metamorphosis.

At the end of the competition all the choir/groups will sing in unison, which will be conducted by T. Chonbenthung Odyuo SDEO Wokha.
