
Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (N&M Region) Friday, organized one-day regional “workshop cum launch of special outreach programme on the one year achievement of the government of India” under the theme “Saal Ek Shuruaat Anek” (one year, many beginnings) at its Regional Office in Kohima.
Speaking at the inaugural function as the chief guest, BJP State executive member Pramod Singh said the central government in its first year has initiated many schemes for the welfare of the people.
He however said that the poor and the real stakeholders would be able to avail the benefits of such schemes only if they are sensitized about it.
Singh appealed DFP and other media organizations to vigorously create awareness among the public especially the marginalized section about the welfare schemes of the government to ensure the success of such programmes.
Highlighting the numerous flagship programmes launched by the government, he pointed out that today the government has already planted the seeds of development and soon the public will reap the benefits of such schemes in coming years.
During the programme, Singh also released the booklet on the one year achievement of the government christened as “Saal Ek Shuruaat Anek.”
The Programme was chaired by FPO, Sonikumar, vote of thanks was proposed by FPO Jitendra Kumar Pradhan. Unit-in-Charge Imphal Vivek Khuraijam moderated the inaugural programme while FPA Robin Kashungnao moderated the technical session.
