KVK Mkg conducts ‘Kisan Sammelan’

One day “Kisan Sammelan” was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung conducted on August 18 at KVK Conference hall, Yisemyong. 
The objective of the programme was to create awareness among the farmers on latest developed agri and allied advanced technologies and acquainting them about effects of climate change on various crops.
During the programme, KVK Dr. Pijush P.C emphasized on different contingency measures practiced in agriculture and allied sectors. He also explained some important agricultural schemes recently launched by Government of India.
Chairman Adhoc Town Committee (ATC), Yisemyong Imrongmeren described the importance of Kisan Sammelan in today’s agricultural perspectives and acknowledged the efforts and activities of KVK in the district. He also encouraged the participants to put more effort in bringing changes in agricultural systems for better food production. 
In technical session, SMS (Animal Science) Dr. Rongsen and SMS (Ento) Dr. Ruopfüselhou Kehie discussed different aspects of animal, plant, soil health management, soil sampling techniques and vegetable nursery management with the participants.
Mineral mixture, medicines, trichoderma, trichogramma, neem oil etc. for animal and plant health management and winter vegetable seeds were also distributed to the participants.  A total of 56 of farmers participated.
