Three held for highway robbery

On receiving credible information at Chiephobozou P.S regarding highway robbery on commercial vehicles at three different locations i.e Nerhema junction, Zhadima quarry and Nachama lake (Line hotel area) on NH-2 by some unknown miscreants on June 9 at around 10 p.m., the Chiephobozou P.S. personnel rushed to the spot but the miscreant fled from the scene in two motorcycles. 

In a press release, Kohima police PRO said accordingly the police personnel manning Chiephobozou check gate were alerted and after a hot pursuit by the police, they were intercepted from Chiephobozou check gate. The police seized following articles from their possession: Rs. 3650, demand slip – 39 leaflets and two nos of black colour Pulsar motorcycles.

Police said The miscreants were later identified as Leacy, Ketholetuo Angami (36) of NSCN (IM), son of Tasuo Angami,  Tsiemekhuma village, Chiephobozou, presently residing at Botsa, Kohima; Videsielie Kense (26), son of Viesiekhrie,  Touphema village, Chiephobozou and Asou Angami (44), son of Shielhoulie, Thouphema village, Chiephobozou, present address Botsa, Kohima.

In this connection, a regular case vide Chiephobozou P.S Case No. 0012/15 U/S 384/392/34 IPC R/W 7 NSR 62 was registered against them for further investigation.
