Shifting of DC’s office: DDCF, civil societies meet

Dimapur District Citizens Forum (DDCF) held a joint meeting on June 4 with all civil societies, tribes and communities of Dimapur at the Naga Council Dimapur, Unity Hall to discuss about the shifting of public utility offices from Dimapur to Chumukedima village with special reference to the shifting of Dimapur Deputy Commissioner’s office.
According to Dimapur District Citizens Forum president, N. Joseph Lemtur the house decided to request the state government to keep in abeyance the Government order for shifting of the public offices from Dimapur to Chumukedima village. 
The forum also reminded that a memorandum in this regard was submitted to the state government on August 25, 2014.
Lemtur said 17 frontal organizations from various tribes and communities attended the meeting. 
Meanwhile, Dimapur District Citizens Forum stated that the house also formed an eight-member committee to take up the matter with the state government for implementation.
