Dimapur Dhamma Vihar (DDV) celebrated the 2559th Sacred Buddha Jayanti festival on May 4 at society of Dhamma Bodhi and meditation premises, Dimapur.
The programme was marked by flag hoisting, world peace prayer, Buddha Vandhana and Panchasil prayer. Various Monks from neighboring states delivered speech on teachings of Bhagavan Buddha.
On the occasion DDV distributed fruits and bread to the patients of Dimapur Civil hospital and also served dinner to Wondang-Ki charitable foundation, Duncan bosti orphans.
Secretary of Buddha Jayanti celebration sub-committee Pijush Barua thanked the youth wings of SDBM Dimapur for their benevolent services rendered and making the programme a successful one.
