With the festive season approaching, Naga Hoho (NH) Friday urged the state government to take measures and rigorously screen tourist entering the state particularly during the Hornbill Festival.
In a letter to the chief minister, Naga Hoho general secretary Mutsikhoyo Yhobuh citing the instance of Ebola scare in Manipur, where a Japanese tourist was suspected to have had the symptoms, said, “the world is threatened with various ailments and diseases for which issues has been raised in various quarter on the unpreparedness of the state in mitigating such outcomes”.
While appreciating the initiative of the state government in promoting tourism, resulting in incremental flow of tourist in the state, the hoho requested the government to “take precautionary measures by screening the tourists so as to safeguard and protect the citizens”.
