HASSU lauds Survival Nagaland initiative

Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union (HASSU) has appreciated, what it described as “brave visionary mission” initiated by Survival Nagaland movement to “safeguard and conserve the interest of most precious ‘Nagas by blood’.”
In a press release, HASSU president Mughavi Awomi said unabated inflow of outsiders into Nagaland, particularly illegal Bangladeshi immigrants (IBIs) has caused “multiple adverse impact” on original Nagas — socially, politically and economically.
HASSU said gradually indigenous Nagas were directly or indirectly would be “displaced from all sorts of prerogatives in our own land.”
The union said it has taken serious note of the past and current incidents where innocent Nagas got victimized in the hands of outsiders.
Stating Survival Nagaland movement came just in time to awaken Nagas, HASSU extended its solidarity and support to the group and assured to be on its side as and when required.
