An emergency meeting of the Friendship Forum of Golaghat and Wokha District (FFoGWD) held at Bhandari Town Hall, Tuesday. The forum strongly condemned the unfortunate incident at Ralan area and urged all to maintain outmost restrain to avoid further reoccurrence hampering peaceful co-existence of Nagas and Assamese. The forum also appealed to Nagaland and Assam governments to intervene at the earliest. It has also condemned the attack on Assam chief minister’s convoy in Uriamghat area and for obstructing the visit while performing his constitutional duties. Ten members each of the forum from both sides attended. Albis Baruah general secretary FFoGDW chaired the meeting. Short speeches were also delivered by Pinyimthung Lotha, chairman, Khongthungia Odyuo general secretary, Captain. T. Nath (retd) joint secretary and YL Jami (NCS) DC (retd) member of the forum.
