NSCN (I-M) UT-1 members led by area supervisor, Iliading (John) Zeliang apprehended two alleged sex workers from GS Road area, Dimapur Monday and banished them from Dimapur.
According to UT-I, the alleged sex workers were identified as one Ambiya Begum (35), wife of Hussain Ali and daughter of Azad Ali, presently residing at Lahorijan; and Amina Khatun (25), wife of Amir Ali and daughter of Abul Kasim, presently residing at Dudu colony.
Kilonser-cum-caretaker CAO UT-1, “lt col (rtd)” Ape Venuh had earlier issued notice warning antisocial elements that stern action would be initiated against them.
UT-I has also been checking sale of banned tobacco products, peddling of drugs etc. Area supervisor Iliading said the two alleged sex workers have been asked to leave Dimapur with a stern warning that drastic action would be taken against them if they were found again in Dimapur.
