As a preventive measure to control malaria outbreak in Dimapur, a meeting was convened on July 18 at the conference hall of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office. According to a press release issued by the CMO, Dr. M.A Wati, in the meeting it was decided to direct all SMO and MO of different Hus to report all cases of fever and malarial cases to the district control room, NVBDCP, CMO office, Dimapur, on daily basis for onward submission to the directorate of health services, Kohima. The release also added that the Surveillance Workers (SWs) and Multi-Purpose Workers (NPWs) have also been directed to report in case of increase number of fever cases in their respective areas to the District Hospital Authority (DHA) for immediate investigation and management. It further stated that at the meeting, a Rapid Response Team (RRT) was formed.
