Two extortionists were apprehended by the public of Wokha from Doyang Bridge (Wokha to Mokokchung) after receiving information that some extortionists were collecting money from vehicles.
According to a report, the irate public went to spot at about 4 p.m. and caught the two. They were brought to Wokha and handed over to Wokha police. The two have been identified as Nitoshe, son of Nikaho of Ajiqami village under VK sub-station and Hovito, son of Yevike Aye. They claim that they were under the command of GPRN/NSCN Sumi region. The public seized Rupees 410, money receipts of GPRN/NSCN and a bottle of cough syrup.
