Lotha Regional Council (NNC) has clarified that the article which was published on May 19 in local a local daily under the caption “NNC Lotha Region honour Pioneers” was a “self style act” by some individual/groups just to demoralized the image of the Lotha Regional Council (NNC) as it was published without the knowledge of the concerned authority of the LRC.
LRC (NNC) in a press release issued by its president, Yilow Humtsoe, has also questioned “what is the word ‘Nag’ means?” and stated that V. Nagi was also one of the senior members and has vast knowledge about Naga political history serving Naga National Council (NNC) for 36 years and now serving as general secretary for NNC. Further, the LRC authority stated that the Naga National Council (NNC) Central Body Authority has recognized Yilow Hümtose as the president of Lotha Regional Council (NNC) and said that all official matters should be done through him or Lotha Region Medan Peyu, T. Shanremo Tsopoe, and warned those individual/groups who were publishing article in the name of LRC without the proper knowledge of the LRC authority that they would hold responsible for trying to create disunity among the LRC (NNC).
