BCFC & VCFC in Chiephobozou block

Block convergence and facilitation centre (BCFC) and village convergence and facilitation centre (VCFC) of Poorna Shakti Kendra (PSK) were inaugurated at Chiephobozou Block, Kohima district May 20 by social welfare department secretary Bei-u Angami.
Speaking on the occasion, Bei-u Angami urged all the women participants to work harder so as to bring their status at par with men.
According to a DIPR report, Angami said government has initiated different schemes for the uplift of women in the society and this Poorna Shakti was one such scheme where every woman could avail the opportunities in the area of health, education social or economic sectors.
Chiephobozou Block being the first block in Nagaland to have started Mission Poorna Shakti should set an example to other districts, he added. Poorna Shakti Kendra was started under Chiephobozou Block on a pilot project which covered ten villages.
Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) chairperson Bano Vinito delivered keynote address while assistant state coordinator, State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW) gave power point presentation on Poorna Shakti Kendra.
SRCW mission director Daisy Mezhür gave a way forward on as to how the mission would move further. ADC Chiephobozou, Bodeno Colo also spoke on the occasion. SRCW research officer Meneno Vamuzo chaired the programme while invocation and vote of thanks were proposed by Catechist, St. Dominic Church, Duoneilie and BCFC block coordinator Ruokuosalie Rülho respectively.
