Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) after receiving a letter from PMEGP 2012-2013 beneficiaries under Mokokchung district with regard to the unresponsiveness of the banks in releasing the funds met managers of the Allahabad Bank and the Bank of Baroda on May 6 and asked the concerned banks to heed the directives of the deputy commissioner.
In a press release issued by MTLT media cell, Taliakum stated that though the deputy commissioner, Mokokchung, had already directed the concerned banks for the release of the funds, the banks did not release the funds.
During the meeting, MTLT intimated both the banks that failure to follow the directives would invite stern action from the MTLT.
Meanwhile, MTLT has also expressed gratitude to the three villages namely- Aliba, Chungtia, Kinunger and well wishers for voluntarily repairing works along the Mokokchung-Mariani road on May 3.
