KEH conducts 6th general conference

Kyong Eloe Hoho (KEH)’s sixth general conference was held April 24 and 25 on the theme ‘Women in a changing cultural scenario’ with a large turnout of women and men. In a press release, KEH stated that on the evening of April 24, DRDA project director
Thungdeno Mozhui, who spoke on the conference theme, encouraged the women to take responsible parts for the betterment of the society in these changing times.
The programme was chaired by Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhung president Nzanmongi Ezung.
On April 25, the occasion was graced by Nagaland chief secretary Banuo Z Jamir as the chief guest. Speaking at the conference, Banuo asked women to adapt and learn as “our society is passing through a transitional period.”
The chairperson for this session was former president of the KEH Thungbeny Lotha.  The evening programme was graced by Abeni TCK as guest of honour. She spoke of how God blessed the Lotha tribe in many fields and as such they should try to retain the blessings by “improving ourselves in positive ways.” The chairperson for the session was Achumlo Erüi.
The tenure of the previous team of the president and office bearers was further extended for another year. The team of office bearers include Thungjano Tsanglao (president), Abeni Jungio (vice president), Nzano Kikon (general secretary) and five others.
