JOAN bids farewell to district & session judge

Judicial officers association Nagaland (JOAN) along with Dimapur legal fraternity bade farewell to Veprasa Nyekha district & session judge Dimapur.  District & session judge Hukato Swu in his farewell speech described Nyekha as an able officer, who was retiring without any adverse remarks in his whole career and under whose initiatives with senior colleagues brought about the separation of judiciary in Nagaland. Imti Imsong president Dimapur bar association in speech said Veprasa had served under various capacities and situation and had lived the challenges. Y.T. Sangtam public prosecutor who joined service together with Nyekha described him as a sharing colleague and wished him the very best in his life. The programme ended with a vote of thanks from civil judge Dimapur Seyieleno. Veprasa had served in eight districts in Nagaland for 40 years and various districts also bade him farewell with gifts. JOAN would be led by Y. Maongkaba Imchen district judge Kohima as new president who took in charge from the outgoing president Mayang Lima registrar Gauhati high court Kohima bench.
