SVEEP prog held in Longleng

A programme on Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was held on March 29 at Yingli College Longleng town under the theme “Ethical Voting”.
Delivering the “chief address”, assistant professor Yingli College Dr. M K Jha spoke about the concept of SVEEP programme in Nagaland and value of a vote. He urged the participants to have clean conscience when voting for a candidate.
A short speech was also delivered by Phom People Council (PPC) representative Chingtam Phom and the programme was chaired by additional DC HQ T Wati Aier. The students and the participants were also taught on use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and the newly introduced NOTA (None of the Above) mark on the ballot unit box.
Two campus ambassadors were appointed from amongst the students of Yingli College. Various competitions like poster making competition, essay competition etc. was held at auditorium hall and cash prize were presented to all the winners.
