Zeliangrong Baudi Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (ZB AMN) and All Zeliangrong Students’ Union Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (AZSU AMN) have strongly condemned the atrocities meted out to the Rengma Nagas in Karbi Anglong Assam leading to loss of lives and properties perpetuated by the Karbi militants.
Further, the Zeliangrong Baudi Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (ZB AMN) and All Zeliangrong Students’ Union Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (AZSU AMN) urged the government of Assam to provide adequate security to protect and safeguard the lives and rights of the indigenous people and deliver justice. It also urged the government to restore peaceful co-existence of the age old good relationship among different communities in the district.

Zeliang People Organization Dimapur (ZPOD) has also expressed concern over repeated ethnic clash between the Rengma and Karbi people in Assam.
ZPOD said the two communities have peacefully co-existed together since time immemorial and urged the elders and leaders of both sides to ensure that the violence should be settled with mutual understanding based on historical fact for a permanent solution.
Meanwhile, Zeliang People Organization Dimapur (ZPOD) has deeply regretted the shameful December 21 incident, which led to the conflict during the festive season, and fully extended solidarity to the Sumi people.
In a press release, Zeliang People Organization Dimapur (ZPOD) also expressed concern and sympathy to the injured and to the families of those deceased in the unfortunate conflict and strongly affirmed to support to the genuine cause.
