Fire destroys timber factory

A major fire that broke out at a timber factory, 7th Mile Dimapur, destroyed properties worth around Rs. 1 crore Saturday.
According to OC Fire Service Chumukedima, Sashi Jamir said the cause of the fire at the timber plywood mill (Green Timber Mill) could be electrical short circuit. It took several hours to bring the fire under control, OC added.
Meanwhile, when contacted, Dimapur Fire Service station OC Wati Jamir said five fire engines were also sent from Dimapur.
