Zuketsa Area Public Organisation (ZAPO) Thursday held its 40th general session at ZAPO Court.
The house elected new office bearers headed by Pfuchukha Krome, Rtd. SDO (civil) as president, Dichü Wetsah, vice president and Neitso Therie as general secretary.
According to ZAPO president Pfuchukha Krome and general secretary Neitso Therie, speaker Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye Director, Development, CBCC addressed 140 strong executive council members in the presence of general Public.
He emphasized on the importance of Netho Ketshü (three village) ethnic cultures. In the past, the village chief was the ‘alpha and omega’ in matters of religion and forbidden laws, he said.
He said corruption starts from the grassroot level and not only politicians, and appealed all to follow the call of NBCC for a clean election.
The outgoing and the newly elected presidents of ZAPO also addressed the meeting. The speakers emphasized on the need to restore the past glory and look forward for progressive development and life.
The meeting was chaired by Weprenyi Kromi, vice president. Opening prayer was pronounced by Medotshü Kenye and welcome address by outgoing ZAPO president, vote of thanks by Mikha Therie and benediction by Dichuzii Rabvo.
