Thahekhu Village Council (TVC) and village student union Thursday recovered an abandoned vehicle (Tata winger–MN 01 X 8761) in an uninhabited area of the village at around 5:30 p.m. The villagers informed Dimapur Urban police station about the abandoned vehicle.
Later they were told that a case had already been filed in Dimapur East police station with regard to the same vehicle and it belonged one Laxman Sonkar of Royal Rajdhani Travels Golaghat road, Dimapur.
In the evening, TVC handed over the vehicle to Dimapur East police personnel in the presence of the owner. Till the filing of this report, it could not be ascertained how the vehicle was abandoned in the area.
