One day training for Self Help Groups (SHGs) of Niuland block was conducted under capacity building on November 13 at Niuland town by ATMA-Dimapur.
Delivering a keynote address deputy project director, ATMA Janet Chishi explained to the participants about the goodness of Aloe-Vera in making soap saying that it can be made by any women farmers with locally available material which could help in income generation.
She also briefly explained the method of soap and detergent preparation and urged the members to go back and teach other SHGs in their villages and block.
The resource person was Alemla and Asenla from Renlok SHG, a very progressive SHG of Dimapur with vast experience in Aloe-Vera soap, detergent powder, washing gel, vermicompost preparation.
Detail demonstration on Aloe-Vera soap and detergent making process was shown wherein all the participants involved themselves in practical session and learnt and benefited from the training.
The SHG federation, Nuiland expressed gratitude to the ATMA-Dimapur for providing such beneficial programmes to the women folk. Altogether, 70 members from different group of SHGs Niuland participated in the training programme.
