GEEAN, ANUDEEA appeal govt to advertise JE posts

Graduate Electrical Engineers Association of Nagaland (GEEAN) and All Nagaland Unemployed Diploma Electrical Engineers Association (ANUDEEA) have appealed to the government to advertise a minimum of 19 JE posts and six SDO posts (if not filled through promotion) or a minimum of 25 JE posts (if six SDO posts were filled through promotion) along with those vacant posts of system analyst and JE (civil).

In a press release, ANUDEEA president Hitolu Yeptho and GEEAN president Meshenlo Kath said the associations were assured that the committee headed by superintendent engineer (power) Er. Khosa Sale was trying its best to sort out the lapses at the earliest.

The two associations said they were also informed that the committee would forward all the necessary documents to the government soon so as to expedite the court case about the 12 JE posts kept in abeyance at Gauhati High Court on November 11.

They said RTI clearly indicated that 15 JEs on contract basis and four JE posts were completely lying vacant under the power department.

Further, GEEAN and ANUDEEA said the committee assured that those 19 JE posts would be advertised this year adding that if the court could not finish up the case of 12 JE posts soon then the remaining vacant posts (i.e.19-12=7 posts) would be added as addendum to the advertisement when the court case was cleared.

They said chief engineer (Power) November 1 last, during its agitation, informed there were six vacant posts of SDO, however, would be filled up through promotion from the lower grade (i.e. those serving as JE).

The two associations reminded that if six vacant posts of SDO be filled through promotion, there would be another six vacant posts JE (i.e. the total vacant posts of JE in the department will be 19+6=25 posts).

They also claimed the department has some vacant posts of system analyst and JE which were to be filled by electronics and communication engineers (EC) and civil engineers (CE).
