Minister for forest and border affairs Y.Patton has expressed grief over the demise of Dr. Lichamo Yanthan, joint director, in the department of health & family welfare, who passed away in Shillong November 12 while on official duty.
In his condolence message, Patton described Dr. L. Yanthan as a dedicated and humble officer who was always ready to help the needy.
Stating that with Dr. Yanthan’s untimely demise, Lothas in particular and Nagas in general have lost a very devoted and capable officer, Patton further said his death has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.
The minister also conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members to bear the loss in fortitude and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace eternally.
