Commissioner and secretary, government of Nagaland, Mhonbemo Patton has informed that state government has accord to sanction for imposition of the following taxes, tolls and fees as indicated by the Longleng town council within its municipal area.
However the taxes, tolls and fees would be subject to revision from time to time and that the same would come into effect from December 19.
The following are the rates of the taxes, tolls and fees: toll tax (on all commercial vehicles) Rs. 25 (per trip), renewal of trade licence (per year) Rs. 120 (per permit), new trade licence (onetime payment): small size shop Rs. 400, medium size shop Rs. 500, general shop/store Rs. 600; trade tax (monthly collection): cloth shop Rs. 200, general shop Rs. 200, cosmetic shop Rs. 120, pan shop Rs. 30 (small) Rs. 50 (medium), workshop Rs. 150, pharmacy Rs. 200, mohol (meat shop) Rs. 100, beauty parlor Rs. 100, hair cutting saloon Rs. 50, tailor Rs. 100, hotel/restaurant Rs. 100 and hardware Rs. 200.
