Farmer’s trg on credit linked investment subsidy scheme

Institute of co-operative management, Imphal in association with ATMA Wokha organised one-day farmer’s awareness program on credit linked investment subsidy scheme for construction , renovation, expansion of rural godown at Eloe Hoho hall on September 26.

Joychandra Singh, director I/c ICM Imphal highlighted the various schemes under Grameen Bhandaran Yojana, a capital investment subsidy scheme for construction/renovation of rural godown under the directorate of marketing & inspection, ministry of Agriculture & cooperation, govt. of India.

He encouraged the farmers to come forward and avail the facilities given by the ministry and thereby reduce the spoilage and wasting of agricultural produces and enhances their income.

Dr. Mhonchan, PD, ATMA, while welcoming the participants, thanked director ICM for selecting Wokha district for the said training.

He also requested the director to open avenues for the educated youth of the district for various undergraduate and post graduate diploma courses like PGDBM, PGDCA, BBA, HDCM and other short term courses like agriclinic & agribusiness & computer being offered by the Institute.

To avail the opportunity, Mhalo SMS KVK highlighted the farmers on the central scheme for development, strengthening of agricultural marketing infrastructure, grading and standardization and Tseyimo BTT convenor spoke on economics of ericulture.

Earlier the program was chaired by Zuchanthung, SMS and vote of thanks pronounced by Tsutsamo SMS. ‘Day of National Repentance’: Chakhesang Day of National Repentance would be observed on September 30.

All Chakhesangs have been asked to fast and pray, irrespective of denomination, “for our land, peace and unity, leaders in all forums, good health, national aspiration, individual repentance etc”.
