SBTA fetes Rev. Phughoto

Sümi Baptist Theological Association (SBTA) has congratulated Rev. Phughoto Aye on being conferred Doctoral Degree by the Indian Institute of Missiology.
 
In a press release, SNTA general secretary Phushito L. Chishi stated that Rev. Phughoto received Doctor of Ministry from Bangalore Bible Institute and College, Bengalooru.

 Dr. Aye was the former President of the association for two terms during the initial period and is presently serving as Director, Fire Around the World, North East India.

Meanwhile the association has thanked the Council of Churches in India (NCCI) for giving chance to Akani Sümi, a member of SBTA, hailing from Pihekhü Baptist Church under Western Sümi Baptist Churches Association (WSBAK), to be an intern.

SBTA further added Akani was the first from the Sümi tribe to be working with NCCI. The association hoped that under the patronage of NCCI, she would be suitably trained for the needs of the church and society.
