DPDB meetings held in Kiphire, Mangkolemba & Tseminyu

District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meetings for the month of June were held in Kiphire, Mangkolemba and Tseminyu.
KIPHIRE: The meeting at Kiphire was held on June 12 at DC’s conference hall, Kiphire, which was chaired by DC Kiphire, Mohammad Ali Shihab. 
The board reviewed the previous meeting minutes regarding creation of new EAC HQ at Tepe area and the proposal submitted by Langzanger village for setting up a sub-centre at Langzanger village. 
DC informed the district officers to be prepared for their presentation as and when they were given opportunity. Assistant Election Officer (AEO), Olivi Thurr thanked the district officers for their cooperation during the process of election. SP Kiphire also thanked the NGOs of Kiphire. SDO Civil Kiphire, Nchumbemo who is being transferred to Mokokchung recently gave a farewell speech.
Earlier, DC introduced the new member of lead bank manager Kiphire, Birjeet Singh to the board members.
MANGKOLEMBA: At Mangkolemba  the meeting was held under the chairmanship of advisor Law & Justice, Border Affairs and Treasuries & Account  and chairman SDPDB Mangkolemba, Longrineken at Dobashi hall, Mangkolemba on June 8. According to DIPR report, the chairman in his address sought support and suggestions from the members in order to bring changes in the sub-division during his tenure. 
The board decided to forward to the government regarding repair and renovation of SDEO office building and regarding shortage of staff at PHC Longchem. The meeting also discussed for the earlier construction of NST garage near old cemetery site, extension of town road at Mangkolemba and also up-gradation of J.E (power) post to SFO post at Mangkolemba headquarter.
TSEMINYU: Tseminyu SDPDB held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of the adviser for Veterinary &Animal Husbandary Nagaland, R. Khing on June 11 at DB’s customary court, ADC office, Tseminyu.
The meeting discussed various agendas for creation of the following posts in Tseminyu sub-division: EAC HQ at Kandi area, SDO Irrigation & Flood Control, SDO (Power), Sub-Registrar of Cooperative Society and sub-station for Fire & Emergency services.
The house deliberated the agendas at length and decided to recommend all the five cases to government for approval.
SDPDB also conducted felicitation programme where the meritorious students from Rengma community: Rasule Kemp, Sociology subject topper in HSSLC 2018 from GHSS Tseminyu with 97% marks who received state Governor’s award and Bwenyu Kemp, a Gold Medalist in B.Com (Hons) in Accountancy & Finance B.Com from Tetso College under Nagaland University were felicitated. Merit certificates were also given to various schools in Tseminyu sub-division with 100% pass percentage in HSLC for the year 2018. Principals of both GHSS Tseminyu and Tetso College attended the programme  R. Khing lauded the meritorious students. ADC and vice chairman SDPDB, Theodore Yanthan, also congratulated the schools in Tseminyu with 100% pass percentage and meritorious students in particular. The SDPDB meeting-cum-students felicitation program was attended by SDPDB members, parents of merit students on invitation, and school teachers.
