
Medical staff contribute to fix hospital hygiene
With an aim to maintain sanitation and give patients a clean environment, District Hospital Zunheboto, on March 29, initiated various steps to ensure cleanliness within its premises under the initiative of medical superintendent, DH Zunheboto, Dr. Khehokhu Chishi.
According to a press release by CMO office Zunheboto district media officer, Shekho Sophie, DH Zunheboto SMO, Dr. Aron Muru said the cleanliness & sanitation drive was carried out with contributions from Medical Officers within the district and also from the staff of District Hospital Zunheboto.
Dr. Aron further appealed to all to take responsibility in keeping the hospital clean. It is a necessity that the sole hospital of the district be kept neat and clean, he said adding that it would be even better if the district hospital could be kept cleaner than others.
The SMO pointed out that the hospital was last white-washed 15 years back, and now with contribution from the staff, they have so far white-washed the wards, constructed a hand washing stand, deep burial pit and has plans to construct a cattle trap in the coming days.
He further appealed to society to come forward and contribute towards the initiative for the upliftment of District Hospital, Zunheboto.
