Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of Niuland Area Students’ Union (NASU) and Ato Area Students’ Union (AASU) has urged the state government to restore the road between 4th Mile Dimapur and Niuland, which has been left unattended.
In a representation addressed to the state chief minister, JCC convenor Yepeto Aye, co-convenor H Hisaka Kibami and secretary Kaka K Holo urged the chief minister to immediately address the hardship faced by the public.
In spite of highlighting deplorable road condition through local dailies and reminders to executive engineer (R&B) Dimapur division office, JCC said no visible action has taken place till date.
Therefore, JCC said NASU and AASU as empowered by all the frontal organisations of two areas have appealed to the chief minister to intervene and ensure “complete strengthening of the priority road.” JCC cautioned that in the event the responsible authority failed to deliver, it would be forced to undertake “any democratic measures of resentment as deemed fit.”
