Consumer Rights Organisation (CRO) Nagaland in its executive meeting deliberated upon the issue of price rise in the market and decided to check such illegal pricing of essential commodities.
A press release by CRO Nagaland stated that the inspection would be carried out in all the districts in collaboration with competent authority of the state on regular basis. It has also urged the business community to maintain the prices of essential commodities so that the consumer are not cheated.
The organisation said it would also hold a consultative meeting with the Department of Weights and Measures and urge the department for compulsory implementation digital weighting scale in the market.
