St John College (SJC) Dimapur held a programme to award two Nagaland University gold medallists on June 14.
A press release from SJC Dimapur stated that, cash prizes were awarded to Patrick Kithan, BSc Physics (Hons) and Kewimesin Nriame, BSc Zoology (Hons).
Administrative head of SJC, Peter Banks appreciated the hard work and achievements of the two awardees. He also said that students must actively identify their weaknesses and focus on these areas, rather than simply revising in areas they were already comfortable.
Ashok Rai, HoD of Pysics and 5th semester student Acham also spoke on the occasion.
College principal prof. Dr. S. T. Janetius spoke about the need for disciplined focus in studies.
Gold medallist Kithan shared his experience with the students, firstly thanking God for his success and said that not only hard work but rather “smart work” was the key to success. Surprise gift was also presented to Khomo Chetnyu, BSc Physics, who attained SGPA of 7 in her 4th semester examinations.
