All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) launched “Project Shakti” in Nagaland in the presence of Kim Haokip, secretary, AIMC, in-charge of Nagaland at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur on July 4.
A press release from NPCC media cell stated that according to Kim Haokip, Project Shakti was a simple medium to establish contact between Congress mahila workers across the country and the party central leadership.
She said the project would not only establish a medium to reach the voice of the Congress to every booth, block, village, town and district across the country, but would also provide a channel for the voice, opinions and feedback of party mahila workers to reach the party central leadership.
Haokip also said that the medium would be used to educate mahila workers on Congress programs relevant to the state and districts. Adding that Congress president Rahul Gandhi was personally taking a keen interest in the project with the objective to break any barriers between the party central leadership and the grassroots workers, she explained the three simple steps for registration under the Congress’ Project Shakti through the dedicated phone number. She said the medium also has the potential to recognize party mahila workers for their hard work as the channel will be monitored constantly by the party central leadership.
Haokip thanked all the participants and party mahila leaders and urged the participants to continue the registration of Congress mahila workers in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier, Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee president N. Lucy gave a brief introduction to Project Shakti. She particularly thanked AIMC secretary Kim Haokip for coming to the state and ensuring the launch of the project. The program was led by Sentila Imchen, president, Dimapur District Mahila Congress Committee (DMCC), Dimapur.
