‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ observed at Thizama & Meluri

As part of government of India’s initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India, “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” was celebrated at Thizama village and Meluri Village.
According to DIRP report, the first annual general body meeting of Ciephobozo block level cum celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” was held on January 27 at Thizama village council hall.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Council (ADC) Chiephobozou, Vekhoyi Chakhesang encouraged the self-help groups to produce quality products to assess higher demand for better marketability.
While highlighting the various schemes, he said NRLM aims to alleviate rural poverty and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the rural people.
He said NRLM also seeks to promote sustainable community-based institutions which would facilitate provision of financial services, economic services and other entitlements to the rural people.
The programme was chaired by CBLF member Rusoma, Neitsonuo Kera; importance of Covid-19 vaccination and Covid-19 appropriate behaviour was highlighted by AC, SI/SD Chiephobozou, Neikiesanuo Z. Peseyie; success story of AGEY was given by Seyiekhrielie Rio BDO cum BMM RD, Vizobei-ii Theiinuo; Chiephobozou also gave a brief introduction of the program, Arhenuo Pienyii presented a special song and vote of thanks was delivered by CBLF vice president, Neilhousieii Soliezou.
Meluri block: Women Self Help Group (SHG) block level Federation Meluri Block, 3rd annual general body meeting cum celebration of “Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” was held at Village Council Hall, Meluri Village.
According to DIPR report, guest speaker Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Meluri, Yitachu Thurr deliberated on the theme, “empowering women, empowering humanity” and SMO CHC Meluri, Dr. Chukhusie emphasised on the importance of COVID-19 vaccination and COVID-19 behaviour.
Earlier, keynote address was delivered by block program manager NSRLM Meluri Block, Zapoyi Sapu. As per the statistics of the organization, it was recorded that there are 1284 members of SHG under block level federation of Meluri Block.
The programme was chaired by MBK Akhegwo VLO, Lichumla. Around 150 SHG members, public leaders and heads of offices under Meluri sub-division attended the programme.
