The launching of Malaria elimination program was held on November 13 at DC’s conference hall, district headquarter new Peren, organised by the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP) Peren.
In a press release issued by district media officer CMO office Peren, Pezanguno Celine Secii stated that DC & chairman, District Task Force (DTF) for Malaria Elimination, Zarenthung Ezung encouraged all the members present to cooperate and coordinate to make the program a success.
District program officer (DPO) NVBDCP, Dr. K. Limatula, gave an overview of malaria elimination program stating that the goal was to eliminate malaria throughout the entire country by 2030.
The program was chaired by chief medical officer (CMO) & co- chairman, DTF for Malaria Elimination Peren, Dr. Denis Hangsing, who also gave the welcome address. Officials of various departments, NVBDCP staff and NGOs as members of DTF attended the program. Vote of thanks was delivered by consultant NVBDCP Peren, Sehlet Manlun.
