DLSAs organise various programmes across the state

Tuensang District Legal Service Authority (TDLSA), Kiphire District Legal Service Authority (KDLSA), and Longleng District Legal Service Authority (LDLSA) organised various programmes in different places.
TUENSANG: Tuensang District Legal Services Authority (TDLSA) visited Kohdi Children’s Home on November 3. 
A press release by TDLSA stated that, at present there were 11 children in Kohdi Children’s Home.
TDLSA team led by judicial magistrate first class and secretary TDLSA, N. Kano with panel lawyers held a healthy interaction with the staff regarding the infrastructures, activities and functioning of the home.
The team also had an interaction with five children, who were happier now as they get proper meal. Children are given counselling by the qualified counsellor who stay at the home and also conduct prayer meetings and church service from time to time. There is visiting nurse to take care of the children’s health.
TDLSA members further distributed juice, biscuits and eggs to the children while the children presented praise and worship songs and Bible reading. House mother, house father, counsellor and cooks were present.
KIPHIRE: Kiphire District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) organized an essay competition on the topic “child rights” at Loyola Higher Secondary School (LHSS) Kiphire on November 3. Students from Loyola Higher Secondary School, Saramati High School and El Beth High School took part in the competition.
LONGLENG: Longleng District Legal Services Authority (LDLSA) conducted an essay competition on the topic “child rights” at Good Shepherd School Longleng on October 30.
The first prize was bagged by Bonghau Phom of class 9, second prize by Pajia Sultana of class 10 and T. ChingmeiPhom of class 10 and third by T. Chingmei Phom of class 10. The winners were adjudged by chief judicial magistrate and secretary LDLSA, Tucano Vamuzo. The winners were given cash prize and certificates while all the participants were also given certificates.  Earlier, Hamnyei Angh gave a brief highlight on the topic. Altogether 43 students from class 8, 9 and 10 participated in the competition.
