Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has appreciated the steps taken by School Education, minister Tokheho Yepthomi and School Education, Principal Director Smita Sarangi , IAS in recalling teachers attached to VIPs, directorate, DEOs and SDEOs and redeploying them to their respective schools, so that students do not suffer.
In a statement, the NCD expressed the hope that other departments would follow suit and redeploy concerned officials to their parent bodies, which will help in smooth functioning of the departments.
“A teacher is one who ignites the young mind, nurtures the sprouts to take strong roots, clears the weeds of ignorance and helps the bud blossom into a flower. If that’s the case, imagine schools with shortage of teachers,” the statement read.
