Even as the Chozuba range taxi and truck union has threatened to impose bandh over pitiable road condition, the Chozuba Range Public Organization (CRPO) on Thursday appealed to the state government to open Chakhabama- Zunheboto highway and Kohima-Chozuba via Kijumetuoma-Khusomi village.
In a press release, CRPO president, Puyoi Nyekha, and general secretary, Vesupra Luruo, stated that the recent bandh called by Chozuba range taxi and truck union against government’s failure to maintain roads affected normal life of Chozuba range public.
Reminding that Chozuba range taxi and truck union has threatened to impose total bandh if the government failed to address the road condition within 20 days with effect from November 2, 2017, the CRPO said the organization would not take responsibility if any untoward incidents occurred.
CRPO said general public of the range had to bear a lot of hardship due to road blocked. Despite several requests to address the road condition, CRPO said the government and the responsible department turned a deaf ear to those requests.
