NCS probationers 2015 batch ‘Bharat Darshan’

12 NCS probationers of 2015 batch started their Bharat Darshan on September 6 led by course coordinator, NCS programs ATI, Nagaland, Dr. Hovithal Sothu. 
A press note by course coordinator, NCS programs ATI, Nagaland, Dr. Hovithal Sothu stated that the NCS probationers visited Himachal Institute of Public Administration, Shimla where the probationers were given classes on good practices on September 8 and 9. Those who spoke on various topics included S. N. Joshi, additional chief secretary Himachal Pradesh Arvind Mehta and director of HIPA.  
The probationers also attended programme on personality development at the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), New Delhi from September 11 to 15. The resource persons for the program were course director, Rajesh K. Agrawal, Praveen Prakesh Ambashta, K.H. Sivaramakrishnan, Agam Aggarwal, Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Smita Gupta and Brig. Sekhar Visvaathan. 
The probationers were taken for field visits to south Delhi Municipal office, where they interacted on the working system of the municipalities in the metros with the engineers, medical officers and education specialists from south Delhi Municipal Authority. 
They also visited  Saket District Court, Delhi, where state of the art facilities in modern day judiciary along with video conferencing facilities were also highlighted. Officers were taken to physically experience all the facilities and were briefed by the additional chief magistrate of Saket District Court. 
The probationers also visited historical landmarks like parliament houses, central hall, museum etc. The valedictory function was held on September 15 with joint director ISTM New Delhi, Vadali Rambabu as the guest of honour. Words of gratitude were expressed to the ISTM by course coordinator NCS, Dr. Hovithal Sothu; participatory certificates were given away by the guest of honour along with additional director (administration) ATI NCS, Kevekha Kevin Zehol. 
The next leg of learning tour would be in Administrative Training Institute, Mysore and Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA), Thrissur.
